flashcards

I have been using Pleco for 10 years (First on a Palm TX and now using 3.2.10 on an iPad Air 2 with iOS 9.2), but am new to using the flashcard system. I have read the manual (75 pages just for flashcards) , and looked through the forums to try to understand how it works. I have some questions...

I use the flashcards a lot, especially the tone practice but I'd like to hide the pinyin so I'm only seeing the characters. Is there a way to do that? I have "Characters" only selected but it still displays the pinyin. I'd be fine with it showing it after I choose tones, I just don't want the...
