Great idea using Archon! :)
Too bad there is no way to monitor the clipboard. Anyways I'm using it to practice my flashcards in my PC and keep them updated automatically with my cellphone with an app called SyncMe. It's great!!!
Is there any way to make the window smaller or load it in cellphone style like ARC Welder? (my monitor is quite big so I like to work with Pleco opened and other windows at the same time but here it fills the whole screen... too much:D)

There is no way to find that folder in ARC Welder, but in Archon is so easy. Check here:

Ok. First problem. After installing Archon, I got an error like "the process system doesn't respond, do you want to close it?" in the Pleco running in ARC Welder, and now it doesn't recognize the keyboard anymore. I have rebooted but keyboard in Pleco in ARC Welder still does nothing.
Tried reinstalling ARC Welder, but now I can't download it from the Chrome Store. :(
Tried a very similar extension called Twerk but can't make Pleco work on that one
¿How could I fix this?

I answer myself. To change the size of the window just change this two values in manifest.json:
"formFactor": "phone",
"orientation": "portrait",

Other values to change sizes:
formFactor : ( phone or tablet or maximized )
orientation : ( landscape or portrait )

Reload the app from the Extensions tab and ready to go (I'm not worried about ARC Welder anymore). Archon seems much more stable and I can synchronize it with my cellphone. Thanks guys! :)

Edit: added other values for manifest.json

I keep trying the sync feature. I have a problem. When syncing from Android to my PC the files copied don't have permissions to be modified. I will try to find a way to copy them with rw permissions

Wow, I solved the syncing problem. Just had to add to in etc/samba/smb.conf under the share definition section:
force user = (whatever user you want)
force group = (whatever group you want)

Now before reviewing my flashcards in the PC I sync the two devices and the same after I finish studying (I could configure them to sync every minute or so but I prefer it this way). But I can't forget syncing before and after, and closing and reopening Pleco for the changes to take effect, otherwise the database would change. :p
I love Pleco in my PC!!!

Hey guys, how do I get the dictionaries working when I'm an iOS user? By transferring to the Android version via the "My Orders" page on Pleco's website as the app suggests?
It won't affect my iOS devices in any way, though, will it?

You can do it like that if you are using ARC Welder. Using Archon too, but in this case there is a better way. Copy the content of your Pleco folder in Android (Android/data/com.pleco.chinesesystem) into the Pleco folder that Archon creates. See post #47

Should just be a matter of a long press. We also support keyboard paste shortcuts, in theory, though they're somewhat unreliable on emulators. (and indeed on Android devices too - not something that's very well standardized)

I mean, if I want to look up a word in Pleco on the ARC Welder the paste option doesn't seem to work, so it seems I have to manually type the word I want to look up?

I believe people generally have had better luck with other emulation solutions like BlueStacks for shared clipboard purposes.

Just to let you know that for ARChon you need to have enabled in Chrome the "Use hardware acceleration when available" (advanced settings) in order to make it work. Without it, the app won't start (at least in my Linux computer).
I don't know if it is the same with ARC Welder

any way to paste words into the search field

Ctrl-V works great for me (and even on OSX it has to be control, not command).

But I found it even more useful to turn on the Miscellaneous/Search clipboard on startup option. Running under ARC Welder the app dims the window and goes to sleep after a few seconds. If I copy something and switch to the app's window it wakes up and performs the search.

A word of warning: do not turn on clipboard monitoring, every time I've tried it I had to reinstall Pleco.
