Sorry, are you not able to select “default” as the audio profile? Selecting that should get the audio to work correctly from that button.

“Default” is selectable now, but neither default nor custom work. When I press the audio button there is no audible reaction.

Does the audio play correctly with a non-custom reader screen?

It could also be that some other custom reader setting ended up wrong - could you try converting a new built in reader to custom and see if you can then adjust the toolbars without audio not working?

(For example, “treat text as audio fields” might need be to configured to include both simplified and traditional)

I don't know what fixed it - I killed the app - settings were reverted(?) - reselected "default" & it was working.
