iCloud syncing between iPad and iPhone

I would really really like this feature. Basically, I would like flashcard settings including Study data to be transferred automatically (maybe in 10 minute intervals) so I can pick up where I left off on different devices. Also, having my search history would be really nice too. Is this currently possible?

No - we do want to support this again, and indeed have laid a lot of the groundwork or it already, but we plan to do it over our own service rather than iCloud, both because we've had a bad experience with iCloud in the past and because we have a huge number of customers who are either actively cross-platform (iPad and Android phone, most commonly) or go back and forth regularly, e.g. if they have a cheap Android phone they use for travel.

The tentative plan is to make it a subscription service, possibly paired with a few other things that also come with ongoing costs (server-based translation or AI or whatever).

I’ll second the desire for syncing between devices (iPhone and iPad for me), and if it’s a subscription service with Pleco servers then I’ll take it.

On an unrelated note, I’ve been using the beta for roughly 6 months now and it’s been amazing, I use the flashcards and document reader daily. So thank you very much for the wonderful app!
