Flashcard audio not playing after reveal

iOS Version 18.3.2
Pleco version 3.2.76

When starting a test, on reveal, the audio button near the top right of the test interface does not play the audio for the card. In settings, the "Show" indicates what we show at the front of the card and I have that set to characters and definition. When I click the audio button before reveal, I get a message saying "Audio Not Revealed. Your current flashcard test settings only allow audio to be played after a card is fully revealed ...". So I'm not sure why the audio doesn't play after the reveal. I've checked my phone's audio and made sure I'm not connected to any Bluetooth device.
Any insight on this? Thanks

Very odd, it actually shouldn't be playing in that case. If it happens again then hopefully changing that setting should fix it.

Sorry, I mixed this up with another similar support request - yes, it should play after reveal regardless of the setting.

Is your device’s mute switch turned on? Normally it should still play audio even with that turned on, if it’s audio you tell it to play with a button rather than audio that auto-plays, but it can occasionally get mixed up about that since it’s not a behavior Apple officially supports and our implementation is consequently a bit glitchy - turning off the auto-play on reveal option (if it’s on now) might help.

(In our next major update we’re changing that so it’ll either always respect the mute switch or never respect it depending on a setting)
