Bug - Graded reader reads out loud footnote numbers

Hi, I've been using the Mandarin Companion graded readers and noticed that the read out loud feature sometimes reads the footnote number. I linked an example to show it better.
This example is from The Misadventures of Zhou Haisheng, but I think it happens with most Mandarin Companion books.

You can see it reads out loud footnote numbers that only have the numbers 2 or 3. So it will read out loud the numbers 2, 3, 22, 23, 32, 33, etc, but not other numbers like 1, 12, 13.

Thanks! Will investigate, maybe there's some weird Unicode encoding issue that's put those specific digits in a format it thinks it's supposed to read but others not.

Thank you for looking into this. I just purchased the Mandarin Companion graded readers and ran into this when reading In Search of Hua Ma. If it helps, I'm using a device running Android 14 running the version of the app that was last updated on August 28th, 2025. I am also a beta tester for the app. 谢谢您！
