Whole sentence translation

Hi,

Please excuse this very basic question! I am not very good with technology.

I have a physical Chinese book that I would like to read in e-format, with the ability to look up words and translate whole sentences. Could I do this using Pleco? It seems that in order to get sentence translation I would need to copy and paste into a different program like google translate, is that correct?

Yes, we don't currently offer full sentence translation. For what you're talking about I would recommend that you scan the whole thing to a PDF and run it through a desktop or online OCR engine - which by virtue of having a lot more computing power to throw at it is probably going to do a better job with this than Pleco doing it instantly on a phone - and then copy-and-paste your text to translate from that.
