What does the divider in GF do?

I always assumed the divider in GF was for different tradition characters but I'm looking at "偶" and it looks like this:

I'm just not getting the point of the dividers looking at it myself.

Can't be for TRAD since it doesn't look like there are any 异体字 at all, and it doesn't look like it's for parts of speech because it's all mixed up anyway.

To me that looks like a division between different general senses of the etymon: ① idol ② partner ③ coincidental. Not sure what the basis for grouping the family name under ② is, but then again you have to put it somewhere I guess…

Yep, pretty much as everyone's said - they're 3 different entries in the original and so we leave them like that but merge them on the results page. (the one negative about this is that you can only have one definition at a time on flashcards, but it's yet another thing we've fixed for 4.0 :) )
