Sort cards in category by frequency or exclude manually

Hi, I realize we’re a little late in the game here and I really do love the new update. Maybe I’m just noticing certain things from the first time, or maybe things have been added, not sure, but I love how things have been refined and simplified.

One thing that I think would be really great is the ability to sort the cards in a category by frequency.

I find myself using the dump to cards functionality from the reader. I will paste from the clipboard and then dump all the words to cards in a new category. The only problem is that then I have to go through the category and manually delete all the cards that I don’t want to study. These are usually higher frequency words that I’m very familiar with already.

I think it would be pretty slick to be able to sort all the cards in the category by frequency of usage as this would make it easier to eliminate high frequency words that I don’t need to study anymore.

Alternatively, if I could have a separate category, maybe called something like “ exclude from import” that I could populate with the words that I’m extremely familiar with and then the dump to cards function could just automatically exclude those words.

All in all, super happy with what you guys have done, I highly respect the quality of the software and really appreciate all the work and effort that’s been put into it. Good software is getting harder to find, but you guys define quality as far as I’m concerned.

Thanks!

Actually this is already supported; tap on the 'gear' icon at the top of the screen when viewing a category and you should see the option to sort by frequency.

I should add here, though, that part of the reason that we don't create duplicate cards for the same word is so that in a learning test profile you don't need to worry about this; you can add a category that includes cards that you've already learned and the system will give you credit for already having learned them and not try to teach them to you again.
