Small flashcard test hiccups

Hello Mike,

in a Legacy flashcard test on an iPhone Xr running iOS 17.5.1 and Pleco 3.99.1.31, I often have to wait about 1/2 second after tapping for Pleco to reveal the answer in a Self-graded test, or for it to progress to the next card. My current flashcard database has about 20,000 cards.

Could these delays be caused by background threads? It's a minor imperfection, but perhaps one that could easily be fixed.

Yes, it was turned on to play after reveal, and your suggestion helped. Now the delay is maybe one-tenth of a second, definitely in normal territory. Then I turned the auto-play back on, and the delay was a little more, but still fine. Perhaps some memory shortage caused this. If I notice anything, I will come back to this thread.

It's actually just that the new neural network TTS is a lot slower than the old one and due to a bug we're currently running it in a foreground thread instead of a background thread; once we resolve that, the lag should hopefully go away.
