Slow dictionary search since last update

Hello,

Has anyone had any speed problems with dictionary searches after the last update?

I have been using Pleco on my Ipod Touch for the last two years, and it always worked fine. But since the last update, Pleco seems to be too slow to recognize my handwriting unless I write very slowly.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Try rebooting your iPod (hold down the power button and slide to power off) - the update appears to occasionally tie up a lot of CPU cycles in some sort of as-yet-undetermined system background task the first time you run it, but once you reboot the performance should return to normal; we haven't really done anything to the handwriting box in this update that would be expected to impact performance.

If that doesn't help, are you using transparent handwriting by any chance? Try disabling that for now and see if that gets performance to improve.
