Pleco Radical Order

On the radical input tab of the Pleco dictionary app I've noticed that the radical list is ordered radical number 1, 2, 6, 4, 3 and so on. I've just started learning Traditional Chinese and so I may well be missing something, but should it not be order radical 1, 2, 3 and so forth?

If I am missing something please inform me,

Thanks :)

We actually sort radicals by first stroke instead of by Kangxi number - Kangxi numbering would be problematic in any event because we include multiple versions of a radical when they vary significantly (for example we list both 水 and 氵) and include both the simplified and traditional versions, so there are a lot more than 214 characters in our table.

I suppose in theory we could add an option to go by Kangxi radical number for the sake of people who already know the system well, to be honest I think you're the first person to ever request that - I'll add it to our list of new feature requests though.

Thanks for your reply Mike, it makes a lot more sense seeing why it's ordered that way.
