Second beta of a dot dot update? Yep. The dramatic-change-that-motivated-us-to-beta-test this time was the unexpected arrival of a new (2 and a half years newer, in fact) version of the Hui text-to-speech engine - major enough change that it requires an updated file download, so we want to test that that download / update goes smoothly and of course that the new engine works well for everyone in general. Seems to fix a lot of previous glitchiness / instability and helps a bit with accuracy in some circumstances too.

Few other bug fixes too, but barring any new problems this will probably go live within the next 24 hours or so (want to have it wrapped up before Google I/O starts on Wednesday).

If you previously signed up for beta testing through Google Play, this new beta should show up as an update within a few hours. Otherwise, you can get it:

a) Through Google Play. Sign up for our Android Beta Testing group at:

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/pleco-android-beta-testing

And then sign up for beta versions of Pleco at:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.pleco.chinesesystem

after which you should be able to get it right from them. (this isn't up yet but should be in a few hours)

b) Directly from our website; APK at:

http://cdn.pleco.com/androidapps/plecodroid-140623p-313b2.apk

The Google Play version makes it easier for us to collect crash reports, so please use that one if you can.

I just downloaded the new version of the Stroke Order add-on. From the add-ons section of the app, if you launch the Stroke Order demo and press the up or down buttons in the upper right corner, the app crashes.
This crash does not occur if you access the stroke order diagram from the dictionary.

-settings/audio/ hui speed/ has a list with two % sings instead of just one (maybe it has something to do with the fact that I also have lulu)

No, that's a fix for an old Android bug that's still present on a few of our supported devices - single %s in preferences cause them to crash.
