No Hotsync Name

I use my Treo 680 without Hotsyncing - ever. I'm loaded the demo version onto my device via Bluetooth and it works nicely. So I'm wondering I can buy PlecoDict keyfile without the Hotsync name since that would mean I'd have to install Palm Desktop etc.

I don't believe you can do this for 1.3, but you will be able to for 2.0, as that will be locked to either your device ID or your SD Card ID. Thought it might be the case that a blank hotsynch username counts as a valid username, but I would be surprised.

All sorted. Downloaded Hotsync & Desktop software and set the preferences to 'do nothing' and all fixed via Bluetooth. PlecoDict is great.
