iOS 3.99.1.17 crash on launch

Funny, I've just updated to it on an iPad, it loads normally. Have you already tried deleting the Legacy app with all its data, too? (but of course, do this only if you didn't have any data or you have current backups)

No - we don't see any crash logs for this at the moment.

Could you go into the system Settings app, Privacy, Analytics & Improvements, Analytics Data, scroll down and look for any recent entries for "Pleco", and send those to me as email attachments? (tap on one of them and you'll see a 'share' button at the top right corner of the screen)
 
Sorry, figured it out - we forgot to adjust an anti-piracy countermeasure that's now started going off for a few people with weird system configurations; update coming momentarily.
