How to create custom cards with only characters front and only audio for answer?

I want to practice attaching sounds to characters *without* pinyin. I also don't want English definitions. I only want the front of the card to show a word of Hanzi, and the answer to be Pleco's audio file for that word.

This is like the simplest flashcard possible - one piece of data on each side. Does Pleco allow the creation of this flashcard type, so I could add new cards just using the + from a dictionary entry?

Not at the moment - to be honest, as far as I know in ~2 decades of offering flashcards in Pleco you're the first person to ever ask for the ability to not see anything but audio on revealed cards.

The new 'custom test type' feature in Pleco 4.0 (now in beta testing) does allow you full customization over both sides of a card, so once that's out you could build a custom test type to do that.

The best workaround I could think of for the current app would be to import a list of words from text file with custom definitions but have all of those definitions set to "(blank)" or some such. If Chinese definitions are acceptable then another option would be to remap all of your cards to a Chinese-Chinese dictionary.
