How do I force a string of characters to be broken up differently?

Hi everyone,

I pasted some characters (for a proper name, so admittedly not the best scenario) into Pleco and couldn't figure out how to force Pleco to change the "word breakdown" that it thought belonged.

For example, if I pasted "ABC", Pleco though "AB" was a word and "C" was a word.

However, I know that it should be "A" as a word and "BC" as a word.

Putting spaces or periods between them didn't change Pleco's interpretation.

Is there a way to do this?

Use commas instead of spaces/periods - those should work correctly.

Funny, it shows how much of a creature of habit I am. I tried a period and a space, and when it didn't work, I was stuck in a fixed mindset!

Now that I try other symbols, including the comma, they break it up as I wanted.
