Handwriting input disappeared?

hi, my friend installed the beta today, and can't seem to find the handwriting input anywhere? i cant seem to find a setting to enable it or disable it. it was available for them on the regular version though. any idea?

yeah, the registration ID is inputed fine. they did not buy the stroke module? but i dont think this is a paid feature because it was already contained in the regular non-beta version for them?

It's not a paid feature but if they didn't send the Registration ID when they registered for the beta test we would not be able to add the necessary entitlement.

Sorry, I forgot about this (hadn't come up in a while) but there's a licensing issue with handwriting in the current beta that means that we're not able to give access to it to anybody who doesn't already own the paid 'enhanced' version of handwriting (or a bundle that includes it) - basically has to do with us migrating to a new handwriting recognition engine in the final version of 4.0 but not having released a beta with that engine yet.

So unfortunately at the moment they would need the enhanced handwriting add-on or a bundle in order to use handwriting in the beta.
