font size scaling on web-pages

When I open webpages for reading in Pleco, e.g.

I see different behavior on iPhone and iPad with respect to font size scaling

- iPhone 13 IOS 26.5 with Pleco 3.99.1.46.0: Font size scale value follows the setting: the font scales with the percentage configured

- iPad Air 4th gen IOS 26.5 with Pleco with Pleco 3.99.1.46.0: Font size scale value does not follow the setting: the font size is not changed, neither on app restart or whatever action I take in addition; comparing font sizes it seems set to the minimum value a user can configure: 70%.

From memory this is recently fixed on iPhone (I recall font size scaling not working on webpages on iPhone either) but have no evidence.

For ther document formats such as pleco add-on books or word documents, font size scaling works both for iPhone and iPad.

thanks

Thanks, but actually we in the process of removing that setting altogether because it doesn't work reliably even on iPhones (only on pages that Apple reformats for mobile) and there's no good equivalent on iPads with their desktop-formatted web browser.

Going forward, our recommended way to zoom in a web page is to pull it up in our reader mode.

thanks that also solves my other problem: in web-browser mode, when a single- or multi-character word has been selected by click, it is not possible to add more characters or reduce the characters; but in reading mode (plain) you have the option to do so again. Reading Mode it is!
