Flashcard system: How do I make an SRS profile add new cards in order?

I can't seem to make a flashcard profile where new cards are added in order. Is that possible?

Basically, I set the card selection system to SRS. I want new cards to be presented in order, from the first card, not randomly. (Then, SRS ordering should take over.) I can't see a way to make that happen. I wondered if I needed to change the card selection to fixed but that also doesn't work. Am I missing something?

I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place!

I'm afraid this isn't something we currently support. You can do a test ordered by creation date of flashcards ('card selection' 'system' 'fixed') OR one that uses SRS, but there isn't a way to make SRS introduce new cards in a set order.

In theory, you could create a 'fixed' test with a card filter for cards that hasn't ever been reviewed and a limit of however many new cards you want to introduce, plus a 'spaced repetition' with a card filter that only accepts cards that have already been reviewed and that shares the same scorefile, then every day you'd run the fixed test to introduce your new cards and then the spaced repetition test to review existing ones; this is obviously a bit awkward, though.

This should be addressed in our next major update, though.

Hi! I tried the workaround. At first, the finite ruleset was selecting random cards every time despite being set to fixed and sorting by creation date. I kept trying different things and somehow setting it to sort by "score" made it - almost - work. No matter whether it is ascending or descending, it always displays in the same order.

The reason I say it "almost" works is because for some reason, it skips the very first card in the first category and puts that one at the very end. As far as I have seen- and I tried to test this- it doesn't do this for any other category, only that single card. This isn't a big deal for me at all since I know that word really well. But I thought that you might be interested.

Other than that, it's displaying the cards in the right order! I thought for a couple times I'd just have to wait for the update but this is working enough for me to use it.
