Dark instead of Black mode?

Hi, is there a way to set the night mode theme to dark instead of black?

The contrast is too much for me.

Not at the moment, though we'll probably re-evaluate that at some point - for a while people were very, very insistent that it be completely black to save OLED battery life, despite the contrast issues.

Ugh, I see. Well, I've never had an OLED screen, and I don't think Pleco consumes that much in any case. Phones now have bigger batteries, etc.

At least adding a dark alternative as many apps have would be good. I am going back to light mode for now, then, unfortunately.
