Changed from Android to iOS now lacking features

Hey all,

I just recently upgraded my phone -- and downgraded my Pleco.


I had pleco for my android --- it had the character reader (OCR? I can't remember what it was called)

It also had the function that set it apart from any other software I used for Chinese ---> the ability to draw characters. Now that i've switched to iphone it seems like I need to purchase these features for quite a steep price. When I was using Pleco for Android I do recall it gave me some kind of product key or registration code -- which I did save.

Is there any way I can transfer the license to iOS? Why are those features free on Android but not free on iOS? So many other tools can translate Chinese accurately -- but not many have everything built-in (including a great drawing feature -- that is so intuitive and easy to use)

Is there any way to get these features back for iOS?

Free handwriting on iOS is built into the operating system; see:

OCR is a paid add-on but if you bought it on Android it should be possible to refund your purchase so that you can buy it on iOS instead.

Thanks for your prompt reply! Now I can write again on Pleco.

I never paid for the OCR add-on for Android but for one reason or another I do have OCR on that device. Anyways, it doesn't matter ---> I basically never used OCR. I just wanted my drawing back. Thanks a lot!
