cannot get voice add-ons to work on iPhone

Hello everyone,

Sorry if this is a basic question, but I am a new user and want to have Pleco read me text in the purchased add-on voices.

I am on an iPhone 13, OS 26.5, and recently downloaded Pleco -- less than a month ago.

I've purchased the voice packs and definitely have them downloaded, but when I try to get Pleco to read text it is still basic computer voice.

Can you help?

Again, sorry for this very basic question.

Sorry about that.

They should simply play automatically when you tap on the audio button next to a dictionary example sentence or headword, cycling through a different voice each time - if that’s not happening now, are you hearing the same voice over and over again, or just silence?
