For a long time, I could not get Pleco's TTS to work on my wireless earbuds. It would work fine for multi-syllable words, but be completely silent on single-syllable words (for example, TTS was fine on 相信， but 相 would be completely silent when played on its own). It worked fine on my phone's speakers, but didn't work on my wireless earbuds specifically. After testing tons of different settings for many hours including even reinstalling the TTS add-ons in an effort to figure out the issue, I finally got it to work when I disabled "HD audio: Qualcomm aptX" in my phone's bluetooth settings. Thus, I am posting this to help anyone else who may be banging their head trying to figure this out (and also to raise attention to devs in case this can be fixed in a future Pleco update). Pleco TTS does not work with the Qualcomm codec.
