What do the numbers next to the pinyin mean?

Image didn't come through, but I'm guessing you're referring to the numbers before Pinyin in ABC entries, correct? Those are homonym numbers - can mostly ignore them unless you're trying to use this alongside some other ABC-based thing, but generally the lower the number, the more common this particular word is among words that share that same Pinyin.
