Does that keep happening if you get rid of the add-on fonts? The RAM wastage of those means that Pleco is going to get unloaded very quickly once it goes into the background.

I never accessed the new fonts. The beta Reader has not worked well with PDF in general.
Don't feel bad that Adobe does not want to play nice, I'm having similar trouble implementing new software at work.
When can we hope for beta 2?

Almost, but I'm not naive enough to think that there won't be a couple of new bugs and/or bugs that we thought we'd fixed that we actually hadn't.

These seems to be a bug where Pleco displays "u:" as "v" (Manchu: --> Manchv) in the definition of 爱新觉罗.

Ah, thanks - database issue rather than an app issue but still something to deal with.
