Just log in to the "My Orders" page on our website (http://www.pleco.com/orders.html) with his e-mail address, then enter the new ID in the form at the bottom of that page to instantly receive your new keyfile.

(I've edited out the Device ID info from your original post for security reasons, it's safest not to post that online)

Question about upgrading my Palm in the future and PlecoDict

I suspect that the above solution would be the same for Pleco 2 when I need to finally buy a new Palm device, right?

My Tungsten T3 has served me pretty well over the last 4 or so years but after a battery transplant, software to fix the touch screen drift problem and now my sync cable acting up for charges, I know that I'm around the corner from buying a new device.

Not sure that this would applly to Pleco 2 but with the current version of PlecoDict, when I upgraded from my Treo 600 to my Treo 650, the old keyfile was accepted without any issues. When I later upgraded the Treo 650 to my current Treo 680, I also used the same keyfile. No problems whatsoever even with a "clean" install.

On 2.0 we're actually switching from using HotSync Usernames to device serial numbers on Palm, but yes, you'll be able to log on to My Orders to get a new keyfile whenever you replace your Palm. At present, you can't do this more than once every 3 months, but we're planning to lower that to just 1 month when we release 2.0, and just as now we'll be very willing to waive that limit if someone loses two PDAs in two weeks :)
