Sorry, that's not supported at the moment - actually in 17 years of offering an iOS app with a file manager as far as I know you're the first person to ever mention this We are going to be adjusting our file storage system in our next major update to also show up within the system Files app, at which point you would be able to edit files however you like through that (though there'd also still be the current built in file manager).

In case it helps, here's the workflow: I've read a couple of books, and I scan in each page with Still OCR -> Take Picture. After accumulating so many pages, I'd like to export or compress them, to save space.
Hmm... have you thought about instead using the Notes app's document scanning feature to scan the entire book to a PDF (it has a nice efficient interface for capturing / cropping pages in bulk), then opening that PDF in Pleco?
