Screen OCR issue

Hey all, I'm having an issue with my screen OCR. Particularly when I tap the OCR icon, it gives me an error of "Screen OCR Sorry, could not fetch the current screen image." Most of the time it does pick up the words, but it's become quite a nuisance to have to tap out the window.
Version 3.2.98
Techno Spark 30 Pro-KL7
Android version 14
(I'm suspecting it has to do with my earlier OS update? But it worked fine after that too...)

Maybe check your system settings to see if there's any sort of a power saver feature turned on that selectively kills background apps? Those are *supposed* to detect when something is a background service (like our screen reader background service, which has to be running all the time to function but doesn't actually do anything except in the fraction of a second when it's fetching the contents of the screen) and not terminate it, but they can often be very buggy.

Pleco is set to be unrestricted, it does work... just... with that pop up everytime...

The accessibility service is separate from the visible screen reader service (for technical reasons we have to have two) - is that also unrestricted?

My system is a bit finicky, I'll have to manually turn it on after pleco shuts down (which it also does whenever I clear all my tasks) but besides that, it's given all access. Just continues to pop up said error.

Does the non-OCR version work by any chance? Maybe they've somehow blocked access to screenshots but not text.
