If you're not seeing anything when you go to 'Manage Dicts > Add User > Load existing' but you are seeing the uploaded dictionary in your list of files my guess would be something got corrupted either when you downloaded it or when you transferred it to the phone. Try transferring it again.makingit said:I'm pretty sure it's my ineptitude, but for some reason I'm not able to upload the user created radicals dictionary either.
I've got a 3rd gen iPod touch running version 2.2.1, and I've followed the directions to upload the dictionary, but I have the same problem as @adro in that once uploaded it shows up with a question marked icon and in faded grey. As well, I went back over the manual's directions, deleting and re-uploading the dictionary, then: Manage dicts > Add user > Load existing, then on my Documents screen, I've got nothing. It's probably the "activating the database" step that I'm not understanding.
Could there be a setting that I'm missing or shouldn't have checked? I'm open to any suggestions.
Thank you much.
I just did this on my iPad and it worked ok. I set two items on the import screen. I set 'Definition Source' to 'Prefer Dicts'. I set 'Dictionaries' so that the 'Radicals' dictionary was at the very top of the list. After that I was able to import them successfully with the correct definitions. That seemed to work for everything except for a handful of glyphs - looks like there might be a bug with those, I'll try to figure out what the problem is there.manisdogfish said:I imported the flashcards onto my iPhone with only the radical dictionary selected, but it still uses other dictionaries when I look through them in flashcard mode. What should I do so that only the radical dictionary entry is used when I'm using the flashcards?
Found the answer in the updated android manual:Alexis said:Is there any way to import this awesome dictionary into Pleco for Android?
