Professional vs Basic need help

This may have been discussed before but I wanted to double confirm before deciding to purchase.

From what I have read about the pro vs basic packages, if I were to opt for the pro package ie ABC and NWP dictionaries, there is really no need for me to pay another $20 to get the complete (although it is only $20) as both ABC and NWP has 196,000 entries which is way more than the Oxford dictionary and presumably would definitely cover the 25,000 that is in the Oxford dictionary. I guess what I am trying to find out is if I have decided to go with the pro package, is there any reason or benefit for getting the Oxford dictionary as well ie the complete package?

Yes, that thread covered it pretty nicely. The main benefit of the extra Oxford entries is that they tend to be a bit more detailed - longer explanations, better example sentences, etc. It's not a huge difference, and nearly all of the words in the Oxford are indeed covered by the ABC / NWP, but many people do seem to find the extra info useful. You can get a pretty good sense of how they compare by trying out the demo version - just pick a word that's in the Oxford and then look it up in the ABC and see how the entries differe.
