Problems on iphone after a year months of use

I downloaded the ap to my iphone last fall. Everything worked great until now. At first I noticed it was working differently when I scanned. Now after scanning the characters it turns off and goes back to main screen.

I have saved a lot of words on my phone - could that be the problem?

If I have to delete the app and start over, how does that work since I have paid for it.

Most likely it's because your iPhone is still running a very outdated version of iPhone OS - update to the latest OS through iTunes and that should fix it. If your iPhone is jailbroken and you're not able to update it, send me a PM and I can send you an unofficial Pleco version that fixes this.
