Problems after hard reset on Treo 650

I can't use the handwriting recognition function since I had to do a hard reset on my Treo 650. I also don't see the NWP dictionary any more. I've reinstalled them (making sure the handwriting files were on the main card, NOT the expansion card, but still don't get the functionality back. I get an error message saying:

Cannot locate the handwriting recognition data files. Please make sure you've installed all the necessary files and that you've installed them to RAM and NOT to a flash memory card.

I'm tempted to just uninstall everything and try reinstalling from scratch, but am not sure how to do that completely and cleanly...

Any help?

PlecoDict 'Clean' Install

The only files that have to be in internal memory are the PlecoDict application program (PlecoDict.prc) and the handwriting recognition data files (which are supposed to be automatically installed there by PDUnlock, if it's working correctly). The best way to Delete/Move around Files on your Palm is with the Free Utility - Filez
Install that and you can browse through your Palm's memory and Delete/Move Files like you would on a PC. To move a file to your SD card, locate it in the internal memory, select it, and use the "Move" command to put it in the /Palm/Launcher (or newly-created /Palm/Programs/PlecoDict) directory on your SD card.
All PlecoDict Files Start with "Pleco..." (except the Dictionary Databases)
Just Locate & Delete them.
You can then do a 'Clean' Install of PlecoDict.
This should almost certainly get it Functioning again. :)

Hope This Helps

Yes, that should definitely do it. You can delete files on Palm by going to the "Delete" screen, accessible by tapping on the clock at the top of the application laucher screen and choosing "Delete" from the "App" menu. Just delete any Pleco-related items in there and install the software again.
