Hi Mike,
I've been having a problem entering some custom dictionary entries into my flashcards.
Whenever I enter these words, PlecoDict v1.0.3 seems to place an apostrophe in the pinyin. I want to remove the apostrophe but it always comes back.
The 3 words that I have so far noticed problems with are:
Canada
office
Vancouver
The thing that I noticed similar between these 3 examples is that they all comprise of multiple characters and one of the pinyin representation for one of the characters has a "g" at the beginning or end.
For example, for "office", I use 办公室and the pinyin I use is ban4gong1shi4. PlecoDict will see this as ban4'gong1shi4. I then tried changing the custom dictonary via the flashcard screen to ba4ngo1ngshi4 and it will accept it but when I try to edit this entry again, PlecoDict changes it to bang4ong1shi4. I then go back to edit my custom entry and it now becomes bang4'ong1shi4.
I get the same/similar results for Canada (Jia1na2da4) and Vancouver (Wen1ge1hua2).
I'm not sure if I'm explaining my problem correctly. If you need more information or don't know what I'm writing about, I can give the step by step of what I'm doing and what I'm getting as a result.
Thanks.
