problem exporting flashcards

in the flashcard menu, i used "manage flashcard" / 'export', select the flashcard file i need (let's say ch11), under textfile, flag include user entry text, volume card, encoding UTF-8, tap export with file name ?palm/launcher/flashcard.txt or alternatively ch11.txt.
All seems to work properly, BUT i just cannot locate the place where the file was saved.
How can i access it afterwards?
many thanks,
Jerome.

The easiest way would be to use an SD card reader/writer to get the file off of the expansion card. Failing that, Softick Card Export will turn your Palm into such a reader/writer, or you could try exporting them to Memo instead and retrieving them from Palm Desktop after a HotSync.

problem exporting flashcards resolved

ok Mike thank you. working. could retrieve the txt file. However, I just retrieve the Chinese Character and the pinyin. No definition associated with them. is this normal?

Second, all pinyin are surrounded by square symbols, starting and finishing all pinyin. Why is that?

Could it be solved with another export format? eg. what happens if you choose big 5 and another format to export those cards?

many thanks in advance,
Jerome.

Yes, for copy-protection reasons we don't let you export entire definitions.

The square symbols are caused by a (small) bug in the UTF8 exporter - they can easily be deleted with a find-and-replace and should go away in a GB or Big5 export.
