Palm OS on other hardward brands

Somewhere in searching the internet for replacements I have come across indications that ACER and iPAQ have products with Palm OS on them.

Is this up-to-date fact (May 16th,2005), old history or fiction?

I have an palm OS Acer. I think all of Acer's new PDAs are PowerPC. I wasn't happy with the reliabity of the system. I had problems using a memory card. So, I just bought a Tungsten E, as advised for PlecoDict.
