New phone (Samsung Galaxy S20+) can no longer save the provided example sentences as flashcards

Hoping someone can help.

I bought a galaxy s20 plus last Christmas and noticed that the little plus icon next to the example sentences for the vocabulary has disappeared. I used to be able to tap this and automatically create a flashcard for that sentence. I can still use this feature on my old huawei.

Is there anyway to turn this on or is it simply not possible on my current phone ? It's a shame as this was really useful and a great time saving feature .
