Looking at individual characters

Hi,

I'm a new user of the dictionary. When looking at multicharacter definitions, I like to find the meaning of the individual characters, but in order to do this I need to do a lot of going back and forth and input the individual characters in the input line. Is there a way to, say, "hold" those characters "somewhere" for quick recall?

Thanks in advance...

You can highlight the single character in the definition area and tap the "insert to input line" icon on the tool bar. Once you are done just tap the "back" icon. This will take you back to the original multi-character definition. However it doesn't take you back to the original results list.

Can you do something about this Mike?

If you use the recent query list (the downward-pointing triangle next to the input field) that will give you the previous query and the previous result list. So you can use that to go back to the full word after you've looked up a single character.

Version 2.0 should support a pop-up definition box that will save you all that jumping around; you'll be able to just highlight a character and tap on a button to bring up its definition without leaving the current entry.
