Importing a .txt file for Flashcards creates Uncategorised

大家好,
I am trying to do something relatively simple.
I have a huge list of words (汉子) that I am trying to import onto the app using the following notation:

Code:
// Category 1
你好
等等
// Category 2
广告
评价

I save this list as a .txt file in UTF-8 format using TextEdit on Mac.
Then I want those words to be imported in my list of flashcards, using the info from the existing dictionary (see screenshot attached for settings).

But every time I press "Import", it ends up creating an "Uncategorised" category in the Flashcards section, with ALL the characters available on the app.
Do you have any idea why? Is there some way I can avoid this?

Thank you so much in advance for the help you may provide

That's odd - could you email support @ pleco the file? Could be something weird with the text encoding.

Thank you for the reply, @mikelove! I have an update.

Reading some other threads, I had the same guess.
I tried using another editor and producing a different output — I even tried UTF-16. Nothing worked.
Needless to say, I was emptying/deleting the "Uncategorized" category every time.

So I gave the old "turn it off and on again" try (I uninstalled the app, and reinstalled it) and that seems to have solved it for now.
I will get certainly back to this thread or email support if I encounter the same issue again.

I appreciate the help.
