Hello All,
I bought an HTC Touch back in September 07 and just tonight dropped it and now the display screen has been somewhat blurred and white. There are no cracks or chips or physical breaks on the device whatsoever but about half the display is white and the other half readable but the colors are very light. The phone still works as it did before and I can still read half the screen, albeit not well. Of course, since the other half is shot I cannot use plecodict (the reason I bought the phone in the first place). My question is three fold: 1) Is this just a display screen problem or have I really done it and damaged something inside the phone? 2) Is this type of damage repairable or am I going to get stuck buying another one and if so what would be the cost of a repair? 3) My current location is Nanjing, China so I am curious if anybody has any experience doing cell phone repairs in China? I am going to the shop on Monday where I bought the phone to see what they can do for me but I am curious if anyone as any advice or maybe even a price they paid for repair service with a similar problem. Thanks in advance!!! Oh and if anybody has this model use the pouch it came with at all times!!! I usually do and it has saved me numerous times but the one time I had it laying around with out the pouch it couldn't handle the fall! Hope some of you are enjoying your Qingming Holiday!
