How to get rid of traditional characters?

I just bought the $99 version. First question pops up:

How to get rid of the traditional characters? They are really disturbing.

If they can't be switched off, could I use Cedict or Adso, rip them out, and use that?

Also, is it then possible to make a revers Cedict that lets me search with english terms?

Go to the Preferences screen, Characters panel, and uncheck "Show headwords in SC and TC" and that will get rid of them. (never heard anyone refer to them as "disturbing" before... )

In theory you could make a reverse CEDICT, yes, but it would be rather tricky - if you couldn't find a ready-made database somewhere you'd have to do some tricky automated text manipulation (with Perl or a bunch of regular expression replace operations) in order to get every English word on a separate line with the associated Chinese word next to it.

That worked exactly the way I wanted, and it made part 2 of my question obsolete.

For now I just use ABC and NWP and don't see a need for any other dictionary.
