Help required

Hello,

Have been learning Chinese for a few years but only just been tipped off about Pleco.

I know this is going over old ground - but can anyone recommend the best format/hardware for me to get it on? Phone or handheld? Which one?

Am wondering whether to upgare my current phone to get it or just to make a standalone purchase? Which is the best long-term bet?

Any advice welcome.

Upgrade your phone if you need to. I have the HTC touch diamond and love it . I find one of the great features of Pleco 2.0 is that you can send your Chinese SMS to the clipboard and read any characters you don't know through Pleco. This, of course, would be of no use on a stand alone. Other than that, why carry 2 devices when you can do it all on one? The only possible advantage I could see is if you are strapped for cash, then the 2 devices would end up costing you less as you have one of the devices now.
