handwriting recognition file missing

hi

i am an PPC user and i have the same problem. The message that appears is: cannot locate the handwriting recognition libary, pleas make sure you've installed "plecoHWR.dll" ...


i went to My Order, but i cannot find an "alternate option". Maybe this is different for PPC users.

i am a fresh new user, so i don't know much about it.

where can i download this file to fix the problem?

This message is coming up because the handwriting recognition data file isn't included in the demo version of PlecoDict - we'd really like to be able to include it, but currently we're not permitted to do so.

To upgrade to the full version, download the PlecoDict full-version "upgrader" from "I want to unlock the demo version of PlecoDict" in My Orders - run that installer and you should end up with a working handwriting recognizer.

thank you for your reply.

i already had installed the full version. I did work at the beginning but suddenly after a few days i coudn't use it anymore.

But anyway, i reinstalled the program and it works fine now.

i'm still wondering if there is any difference between the handwriting recognition program included in plecodict and the add-on Hanwang program.

There may be some slight differences, since Hanwang is constantly revising their recognition engine, but they should be pretty much identical.

It's strange that it would stop working, though... did you try soft resetting your Pocket PC? That might have cleared up the problem without a reinstall.
