Flashcards: Isolated definitions

Hello Mike,

when taking flashcard tests, I often encounter words that are defined in all dictionaries when searching for them in the Search pane, but only in one or two dictionaries in Flashcards. Could Pleco perhaps merge them together intelligently so that all dictionaries are visible from Flashcards? An example ("业余"):

That should already be happening - by any chance do the other definitions missing from the flashcard have a different traditional character for 余?

The traditional part is indeed different, however, the same NHD dictionary entry is displayed in both cases. So some merging is already happening, but it seems to be limited. Perhaps as a stopgap solution, Pleco could allow a certain degree of fuzziness when displaying dictionary-based flashcards, requiring for example only identical Simplified characters and identical pinyin?

Yes, it looks like the NHD entry matches the flashcard's traditional, while some of those other entries do not. If you go into Settings / Additional language settings and turn off the 'separate entries by simplified + traditional' checkbox, that should get it to ignore differences in traditional characters.
