Flashcard setting questions - automatic submit and display more examples

Q1: In Pleco 3.0, after the last headword was written Pleco would automatically submit the response for grading. It seems this isn’t the case with 4.0. That is, if the headword is two characters, is it possible to automatically submit after writing the second character?

Q2: Can the flashcards be configured to show, upon reveal or at the prompt, the example usages from across multiple dictionaries? Clearly there’s some powerful customization possible; not sure if this is a “programmable” feature.

1) Not an option at the moment but we can add it back, yes.

2) It's theoretically possible, but I feel like at that point it probably makes more sense to just go to the separate card info screen (which now has its own definition tab). For additional examples on flashcards, I'd rather steer people in the direction of adding a curated set of example links to their card (which would also tie into our new automatic cloze testing feature) and show those.

In my case, I tend to find word lists of interest and let Pleco’s dictionaries do the heavy lifting on import. I generally am not inclined to carefully curate my cards as I tend to study a word list for a short while then quickly move on to another word list. However, Pleco import has done an excellent job allowing me to import from my preferred dictionaries. As a follow-up to this response, I don’t suppose it’s any easier to automatically import from multiple dictionaries (say e.g. pulling any available examples from a select set of dictionaries)? Indeed, as you mentioned, the dictionary tab within the card info does have tons of info that’s easily accessible after revealing the card, which is certainly very helpful.

No, we have add a bunch of new code to cover stuff like multiple definitions that differ in non-primary fields (so if you import, say, 历, it'll be smart enough to link it to the entries for both 歷 and 曆, to leave the traditional field blank, and to insert those traditional characters before the definitions, rather than picking one or the other), but we're not currently trying to do more than one dictionary at a time.
