Flashcard function - how to use it best for best results?

I don't mean the technical how, I mean what you think it the best method...

I like to find our how other use them, how many characters in one list, how many lists you have, how you use flags and ranks.


I don't really get the Rank function. My setting: "Number of ranks = 6", "3 correct in a row". My understanding is that after 3x correct the character will move from 1 to 2, then 3 ect.

When I "Limit ranks to 3", does it mean that after getting it 3x correct in rank 3 it will not show up in the next test?

Oh, I saw it before, just now had a closer look. And I thought just my Chinese reading is bad, and now English too......

I have to say that koreth method looks AMAZING!

Because it's my worry too. When you learn, you may remember well. Then you maybe have a "learning break", and previously well know characters would be blank.

I will not ask too many questions now and rather read her method letter by letter.

Don't we think Pleco should do a WIKI for those and other hints? Of maybe a PDF with some common Flashcard setups.

BTW, just a question, when you flash the Difinition/Pinyin, can you bring up the "Character Recognizer"? Gee THAT would be a cool function! (but I guess very difficult to do since some words are multi character)

You can click on the "show" button to compare what you wrote with what the characters should look like.
