Based on your e-mail, it sounds like you're not using the correct text encoding. Is the encoding set to "GB-2312" in the Import screen? If it is, how did you install PlecoDict? Using the "manual" or "automated" install? If you installed PlecoDict manually, install the file "gb.pdb" from the "Text Converters" folder, then run the import again and it should work correctly.

Thanks for replying

After doing HotSync I see the flashcards files on my card but not on the import list, I still get fatal alerts...
I have the gb file and I have changed the encoding to "GB-2312"

I got some flash cards to work like "DVZTEMPFIL 11"

Thanks

It sounds from your follow-up e-mail like there's something severely screwed up with your Palm's memory - that "birthday index" issue is well beyond anything PlecoDict could do, deliberately or accidentally. I'd recommend that you hard reset your Palm (wiping its memory completely), go into c:\program files\palm\(your username)\ on your PC's hard drive and rename the "Backup" folder to "Old Backup" (so any corrupted files will not automatically reinstall), then install the software again.
