Anyone know how to solve this issue? I've tried toggling the auto-off option but Pleco still cuts off after 2-3 paragraphs or so of reading.

Honestly that's not something we've ever supported officially - it might be that your particular version of Android is terminating our app to save on battery power, so you could check your system settings to see if there's an option to get it to not do that (https://dontkillmyapp.com is a website that offers more details on that problem).
