Do I really have to re-install

The document reader OCR function is completely broken on one of my devices but works on the others. Hence it’s not a Pleco problem which seems to mean that the only solution is to re-install the app. Which I’d rather not.

What do you mean by 'completely broken'? And what brands / models of devices are these and what versions of Pleco are they running?

Actually it’s broken on both my devices. An IPad Pro 2 & 3. They are both updated to the lastest version.
Broken in the sense that when I select a character to look up on a pdf which requires OCR, the app just suddenly switches off. It doesn’t freeze but just disappears.
