Dictionary result (simplified)

Can someone tell me why the dictionary has some character in parenthesis after the simplified character?

For instance, I search duibuqi and I get the simoplified character like I want but then there is something to the right in parenthesis. Same thing when I add it as a flashcard.

Can you let me know what that is, and how to get rid of it?

Those are traditional characters. To disable them, go into Settings / Languages and set Headword Mode to One Set Only.
